One year on since Mum died - 2nd August

I cannot believe it is a year since my poor brother had to call me to say my mum had passed away in hospital. Time really has flown by. A lot of things have occurred some bad, but a lot of good things have also happened.

It is quite strange to think that this time in 2010 we were getting excited about Lucy turning 18 years old - "an adult" - her party - awaiting an appointment with a specialist for radiation (glad that is all over) - then a quick flight back to the UK with Jess for the funeral and spend time with family and friends.

Yesterday, the "Horses Birthday" (1st August) was a milestone as I went for my first run in a whole year - only did 3km - but it is a start. Also managed a game of squash and managed to win four out of the five game match. So live is returning to some degree of "normality".
