Nice flight up from Barraba to Narromine. Landed on a great air strip and met by a wonderful retired farmer called Bruce. His son Warrick is a friend and works at a local Parramatta law firm that has 40% of its lawyers are graduates from UWS.
Bruce sorted us out with a cup of tea and drove us to Tomingley. A pub called the Crossroads Hotel was our location and a roaring fire and a pork roast dinner was spot on. My talk generated a lot of questions.
Drove back to Narromine and I had a sleep, in preparation for the evening talk. The evening talk was at Narromine Memorial Services Club. About 25 men came to the dinner - we met at the bar and then had a separate room for dinner. It was an excellent evening and I slept well.
Thursday it is off to Bathurst.

Good posts, Michael. Thank you kindly.
ReplyDeleteYou have certainly covered a cross-section of New South and met some great people, including those with whom you have shared interest. .
So, have you enjoyed the week? Sounds like it.
And have you been "bitten" by the flying bug? ;-)
Godspeed,
- Th.
